If I want a home in a borough of PaxLair City, must I join a guild?

Absolutely not! PaxLair City is NOT a guild. Anybody can be considered for residency, being part of or joining any guild is NOT required. A resident in any of our towns can belong to any guild of their choice. The exception would be guilds of known griefers. -
What is PaxLair?

PaxLair is a player run town on the Chesepeake shard in the world of Ultima Online. It was put together by a Guild called The Band in January of 1998 and still exists today. Under the guidance of @Winfield and others it prospered into multiple towns connected as a statehood. Today it is under the guidance of @NANOC and his wife Phoenix. PaxLair has a number of players coming to New Britannia that will participate in both games. In New Britannia PaxLair is the hub of a group of 9 towns called PaxLair City. -

Started to design castle walls in entry area. Idea is to wall that area of as a "safe zone" and have the "evil " outside the walls. Hope to maker some good RP situations out of this.
